This special edition of EXIF and Beyond features an interview with Lucinda Dugger, Director of Outreach and Field Initiatives for the Copyright Alliance. Discussed is the on going initiative for creatives of all type to sign a letter to the President of the United States to pursue policies that respect the rights of artists. This letter and all gathered signatures will be delivered to the White House on November 16, 2009. In addition to sharing information about the Letter to the President initiative Lucinda discusses general information about the Copyright Alliance and other priority projects being pursued.

Discussed is the release of Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 3 Beta and its many new features & enhancements. This talk is the first of a two part discussion.

Unlike past episodes the second half of this two part discussion has yet to take place. You are invited to ask Tom questions about Lightroom 3 Beta via comments on my blog. The second half of our discussion will be comprised of answering your questions. While I can’t promise every question will be discussed I’ll aim to present the best and most pertinent questions to Tom to answer. Tom has been quite gracious to take part in this Q&A format and has even asked Lightroom 3 Beta users for specific feedback in this episode. Note that as of Friday September 26th, 2008 the Shawn Bentley Orphan Works Act, S 2913, the Senate version of this legislation, has passed and has moved on to the House. Considering the recent passage of this bill in the U.S. Senate it is even more important that you listen to the full length of this podcast, educate yourself as best as you can and take action as you see fit by contacting your Congressional representative.
